Meet the Founder
Ikechukwu Ogwuegbu is the founder and serves as the president of the "Be the Difference Foundation." He is driven by a strong passion to make a positive impact, and he leads the organization in its mission to harness the power of athletics as a catalyst for change.
Through his involvement in various sports teams and competitions, Ikechukwu has had the opportunity to meet a diverse group of people from all walks of life. Some of his closest friends today are individuals he met through sports, and he is incredibly grateful for the bonds formed as a result of their shared passion for athletics.
Perhaps even more importantly, participating in sports has taught Ikechukwu invaluable life lessons that he carries with him to this day. He has learned the importance of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork, as well as how to handle both success and failure with grace and humility. These are skills that have served him well in all aspects of his life, from his academic pursuits to his professional career.
Unfortunately, not all children have the same access to sports and physical activity that Ikechukwu has been fortunate enough to experience. Many underserved communities lack the resources and funding necessary to provide children with the opportunity to participate in sports, which can have a significant impact on their physical and emotional well-being.
Because of this, Ikechukwu has made it his mission to create an organization that provides resources and support to underserved children who want to participate in sports. By offering equipment, coaching, and other resources, he hopes to remove some of the barriers that prevent children from participating in sports and experiencing the many benefits that come with it.
Ikechukwu truly believes that sports can be a transformative experience for children, and he is committed to doing everything he can to ensure that more children have the opportunity to participate in athletics and improve their lives as a result.
